How permitting works in Louisiana

Louisiana counties (Parishes) are mandated to enforce the state's uniform code. The Parish's role is to manage the administrative lifecycle of a permit; however, state law allows Parishes to fulfill this role by contracting with private, state-certified third-party providers to perform plan reviews and inspections on the Parish's behalf.
